Our Mission
Our mission is to build “big fires” in the communities we serve. What does that mean? Instead of taking a shotgun approach to Voluntourism and working all over the world, we have decided to focus on select group of communities to ensure we can make a long-term significant impact. We want to create an awareness of the world and the world’s needs; to shape and reveal character in both youth and adults, challenging them to be greater than they think they can be; to climb higher and swim deeper than they are comfortable with; to make new friends; to make wonderful memories; and to make a difference now.
What is Voluntourism?
Voluntourism is an opportunity to do more than just ‘get away’ from the busyness of life. In voluntourism, you are able to get away with a purpose. Rather than just go and leave some trash and pocket change to locals, voluntourism brings you right into the heart of the matter. Whether it’s researching sustainable energy sources, disaster relief, forest rehabilitation programs, or working in an orphanage, you can help meet the needs of the local community. You will experience high adventure and make many memories; you will also make a difference.
